New Mounds Built on Fields 4, 5, 6 & 7
August 11, 2011
Attention all NYAA Coaches: The league had new pitching mounds built on all the upper fields yesterday August 10. These new mounds are covered while they "set". Please refrain from using these mounds for the rest of this week. As soon as they are ready for use you will be notified. The mounds were built by a professional ballpark landscaper and we want to protect the cost of this investment in our ballpark.

Going forward, we are going to ask the coaches to help us maintain the new mounds by raking them back into shape after each practice or game and then re-covering them to protect from the weather. Rakes and covers will be left in the home team dugouts for this purpose. Thanks for your cooperation.

Spring Season - We want your Input
May 25, 2011
What do you think of the 2011 NYAA spring season? Where do we need to improve? How can we make the league better? What did we do right? What did we do wrong? The league is managed by unpaid volunteers elected to the NYAA board of directors. During the season some board members put in 10-20+ hours of their time every week plus have non-reimbursed expenses incurred while fufilling their league responsibilities. Like most of you, we all have full time jobs and families and are just parents who volunteer their time trying to do the best job possible. We're interested in your input, constructive feedback on how we can make things even better. The spring season is now over, so as you enjoy your summer -- please send your comments, suggestions, etc; to ---> webmaster@nyaa.us and check back here soon for details on Fall Ball!

Zaxby's Glove, Shoe & Bat Exchange Saturday Feb 19
February 16, 2011
Is your childs glove or baseball shoes too small? Don't buy new when you know they will outgrow them before they wear them out. Why not just swap them for a perfectly good pair that fit?

Zaxby's a long time NYAA supporter will be sponsoring the NYAA glove, shoe and bat exchange this Saturday at the Pavillion near the tennis courts at the ball fields. Because our kids grow so quickly, they often have baseball shoes and baseball gloves that no longer fit but are still in good enough condition that they could be used by someone else. Please gather any shoes, bats or gloves your kids can no longer use and bring them to the ballfield on Saturday.

If you have a baseball glove, pair of cleats or bat that your child has outgrown or no longer needs - please drop it off Saturday February 19 between 10 am and 2 pm and receive a free food certificate from Zaxby's -- PLUS -- we'll be having drawings for FREE BRAND NEW EQUIPMENT that you can register for!

If you need a baseball glove, pair of cleats or bat - come down and pick out anything you can use FREE between 10 am and 2 pm Saturday. Open only to NYAA players and their families and sponsored by Zaxby's Restaurants!

Spring Registration Closed

Our highest numbers in years -- more players, more teams -- thanks for the huge response! All teams are full and registration for the Spring 2011 season is now closed. Any pending registration fees not paid by February 21, 2011 will be cancelled.
